The ultimate carpet cleaning test.
October & November 2013
Our License To Spill Event is well under way and we are having lots of fun and success in our stores. Our location in Richmond, BC Took the challenge to the next level.
Rolling out a large piece of Mohawk SmartStrand Silk carpet, they put out ketchup, chocolate sauce, barbeque sauce and soya sauce, and left it down for approximately three weeks. "During that time we allowed any customers to make as much of a mess on the carpet with food or beverages as they wanted," says Jordan Chalmers, Team Manager at the store. They invited everyone who would participate, to see if this carpet could really stand up to the claims of being super stain resistant and easy to clean.
When it would seem the luxury SmartStrand Silk carpet couldn't get any messier, End Of The Roll in Richmond called in a steam cleaner to see if the mess could be removed successfully.
Documenting the experience with photographs, the results spoke for themselves. Mohawk's SmartStrand Silk carpet stood up to the challenge and impressed customers and staff alike.
"The carpet is certainly impressive, you can see the results," says Chalmers.
